Shortly afterwards he saw, in the sea, one of his fellow pilots who had baled out. 'Againtst guiding a rescue launch to the spot, his aircraft w as attacked by three enemy fighters but he drove them off. Although running short of petrol he did not return to base until he observed that the pilot had been picked up. This officer, whose courageous leadership has been most inspiring, has destroyed nine enemy aircraft. Son of Allan Campbell Parkinson and Vera Dorethea (née Bone) Father of Val Temple (died on the 21st August 1990, age 72) and a son. Had a daughter with Joan Hamilton Robson (née Green - ]died on 30 May 1967, in Gordon, New South Wales, Australia, age 45 (two children, Lynette Francis, died on 25 February 1954, in New South Wales, Australia, age 0, and Campbell Robson died in September 2012, in One Mile, New South Wales, Australia, age 56) | |||||||||||||
