The almost total absence of any "combat" markings leads me to
believe this was taken stateside. But it does show the clean lines and beautiful aerodymanics of
this extraordinary plane.
The dive flaps referred to were dive brakes as he states elsewhere
in the paper. The Douglas Dauntless, A-24, had "dive flaps".
