      And here is the identification from Stephane Muret of Belfort, France, an authority on Allied crash sites in eastern France, with probably 200 of them documented. He has written a book about them and I will let you know the name and availability as soon as I find out.

"2 young pilots in front of a tent seems to be 2nd Lts Chaplin and Dooley. This pics was taken august 1944 on Corsica. I've got same one and one taken in front of the tent by 2nd Lt G. Hebbel.
Dooley and Hebbel both flew the same flight when George was downed on September 9 over France."
