There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

at least Destroyer Operational Clasp in Bronze		KIC 2 February, 1942 in his E-2 at Olanga Norway due to poor visibility. Buried Rovaniemi-Norvajaerui, 3-4, Finland (Rosseels). His R/O/Gunner, Fw Herbert Baus was lightly wounded. Brandis became the first casualty of his 6(Z)/JG-5. Barbarossa pilot. He was reported to have made an emergency landing in Wk# 4114 at Tärendö Sweden on 1 September, 1941, due to lack of fuel after a combat mission in Russia (Source: SIG Norway). His R/O, Uffz Herbert Baus was injured. His E-1 was also flown by Karl F. Koch. After the Swedes inspected his undamaged E-1, it was returned to Germany on 18 September, 1941 (Source: B.Widfeldt). One known victory, a Hudson into the sea off Bergen, 80 km west of Herdla, on 1 June, 1941. In the winter of 1941-42, Brandis and Baus shot down 14 Soviet aircraft. Bowers/Lednicer, 14 victories.

Medalla de la Campaña de España 1936-1939		KilledInAction (KIA) the night of 20/21 October, 1941 in Werk # 1139, crashing on Sloterdijkmeerweg in Sloten Holland, 7km NW of the Schiphol airfied. Remaining crew (added: during the combat mission Czernik had to abort and fly back to Schiphol due to a failed engine. In the process of landing the second engine failed too so that the Do crashed (CK), buried Ysselsteyn: Obsv OFw Robert Spies, (born on 18/02/1915 in Düsseldorf (CK) KilledInAction (KIA), bur CW-6-142); Radop Fw Karl Koch (born on 13/12/1917 in Celle (CK) (KilledInAction (KIA), bur CW-6-144) and Fw Horst Walther, Flt Engr, who parachuted to safety. Over 130 combat missions. Destroyed 24 AC on the ground. Added: The cause of the crash reported as motor damage, left engine. Maj Czernik buried CW-6-143 (SGLO).

Malinowski, crashing at sea off Exmouth or Dawlish, The two locations are 70 miles apart, suggesting the ac was only damaged by the destroyer fire. Night Fighter Operational Clasp in Gold		KilledInAction (KIA) the night of 29/30 September, 1943 when he was shot down by an RAF Night Fighter Ace, "Bob" Braham, over the Zuider Zee. He and R/O Fw Dieter Koch parachuted into the lake and drowned. The G-4 crashed at Ijsselmeer, 8 km NW of Harderwijk. All his victories were Night victories. On the night of 30 March, 1943, he shot down five AC. One known victory, a Whitley V of RAF No. 138 Sq. at Haarlerberg, 7 km WNW of Rijssen, a town 11 km SW of Almelo Holland, the night of 29-30 July, 1942. A Halifax II of RAF No. 158 at Oldebroek, 12 km NNW of Epe Holland the night of 5-6 August, 1942. A Wellington III of RAF No. 150 Sq. near Epse, 4 km SE of Deventer Holland, the night of 9-10 August, 1942, now a Hptm. A Wellington at Map Quadrant 737/8G3 on 11 September, 1942. Another, A Lancaster "AR-J" of RAAF No. 460 Sq. on 23/24 May, 1943. A Stirling III Wk# EH900, "WP-Y" of RAF No.90 Sq., piloted by F/O McKenzie at Legden on 25/26 June, 1943. Added: Also, the night of 25/26 June, 1943, he is credited with two Lancasters (T.Boiten/R.Snape). Burial at Ysselsteyn: Hptm Geiger M-4-83; Fw Koch CL-3-69 (SGLO). One known victory, a B-24, 27 January, 1943, "The Spirit of St. Louis", of the 44BG, 68BS, flown by Lt Nolan B. Cargile. He was killed in the encounter in "Yellow 3" by the B-24s return fire. Koch clipped the wing and right tailfin of the B-24, both hurtling down and crashing into the Waddenzee, south of Terschelling Holland without survivors. This date was the first time JG-1 clashed with the Americans. Koch buried Ysselsteyn, AR/5/103.

at least Fighter Operational Clasp in Bronze		One known victory, his 1st, a P-47 over Holland on 22 September, 1943, an Uffz at the time. He became Stfkpt after the death of Werner Lucas, the end of October, 1943. His first known Soviet victory, now a Lt in JG-5, a Yak-9 on 27 September, 1944. Another, an Il-2 on 9 October, 1944. Werk # 732070 was lost during aerial combat on 9 February, 1945, sd by a P-51 of No. 65 Sq. over Fordefjord near Herdla Norway. Both he and the ac went into the sea at the fjord at Heilevang. He bailed and was rescued by two brothers (Flyvrak Norway). Koch crashed a second A-8, Werk # 350185 "Blue 9" on 5 April, 1945 at the Herdla airfield. He had to make an emergency landing due to oil pressure problems. He was injured when both landing gear broke during a rough landing and he crashed into a quarry (Flyvrak Norway). Added: He was uninjured 22 September, 1943 when he made a force landing W of Den Bosch after combat in Wk# 15628 (SGLO). Deceased 10 March, 2001.
