V1.01 Data derived from many sources. Perfection is our goal: Corrections and Additions are encouraged and requested. Please Email us

35,000+ Entries in Database (as of October 2025): largest in the world
The only authorised publication of the Kracker Luftwaffe Archive: anything else has been stolen and infringes my copyright.

Please email us any photos you have. We will acknowledge you in the database unless requested otherwise.
This is a non-political research resource. The authors of this material do not condone hatred in any form,
neither do they support oppressive and despotic regimes or political systems. See our Statement

In some cases you can see a pilot's extended record of victories in date order from our Luftwaffe Victories database

There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

1 Schallmoser, Eduard "Rammer"Ofw4 (3)JV 44 (04/45 München-Riem)Me 262A-1a Werk# 111745 "White 5"
EK 1 & 2
A. Gallands JV 44 wingman. His 1st victory, he rammed a P-38 over Riem AP on 3 April, 1945. His 2nd victory, a B-26 in the Lanberg area on 16 April, 1945. His 3rd, a B-17 in the Munich area, involving a collision, on 17 April, 1945. On 20 April, 1945, he attacked a B-26 (victory # 4) formation and accidentally struck the tail of one of the Marauders. He bailed out as both AC fell to the ground. All victories in JV-44. Nickname "Rammer". Added: Re: the 17 April collision, Schallmoser's ac was hit by the lead bombers gunners, knocking out both engines and shattering the canopy. He lost control and collided with B-17G Ser# 43-38085, 305BS, "Towering Titan", which crashed at Babisnau. The incident was witness by Galland & Lt Klaus Neumann. Schallmoser bailed safely ("Me 262 Stormbird" book). Added: Schallmoser bailed on 20/04/45 after hitting the prop arc of the B-26 "44-68109" piloted by flight leader Lt James M Hansen, being followed by fire from the bomber gunners and landed on his mothers house garden (!) Hansen was able to fly his aircraft back to base. So Schallmoser only had 3 victories (CK)

Took part in the 7 April, 1945 Rammtrager mission (his first mission) against American bombers nearing the Me 262 facility at Parchim. A post-war discovery identified his victim as a B-17 of the 487BG, piloted by Lt Bud Wentz. Alone in the freezing sky, he found the bombers and after a brief but brutal combat, he survived the war. Although wounded in the right arm (which had to be amputated), Hahn was able to bail safely. Hahn was initially attacked by four P-51s, but with no armor plate and only 60 rounds of ammo, he was severely damaged, but miraculously found the bombers in his line of descent, and struck the B-17. The B-17 was able to make an emergency landing at an American-occupied airfield in Belgium. Hahn survived the war. Wentz and his crew survived and made an emergency landing with a large portion of their rudder assembly chewed away.
