There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

They were deployed to clear enemy shipping along the coast of the island of Corsica. Detail provided in a letter from Oblt Karl Ischinger, Stffüh, to the Father of Gefr Krempig, dated 4 October, 1943, via Jason Farrow 7/2021. LOCS has the unit as 1(F)/123.

Added: His unit referred to as Überführungsgeschw.-1. On this day, he was "on the run" and looking for an ac to escape the uprising at Prag-Gbely, and found Blue 2. With limited fuel, the engine quit over Bachau, and he put down in the outskirts. He destroyed the ac and fled further west, only to be captured by the Russians (C.König).

Lt Umschaden and crew crashed in the village of Kymi, Euböa Island, Greece. The crew were initially buried at the cemetery of Aghios Ioannis. Shot down with foot wounds 6 March, 1944 in "Yellow 6" over Homfeld/Hoya by a P-47s of 56FG, piloted by Lt Barney Casteel; or 2/Lt Marvin H.Becker of 63FS, 356FG per C.Sundin. He made a force landing in a field at Homfeld. He crash landed on 9 October, 1943, his "Yellow 10" was reported damaged 30% over Nakskov Denmark, however Ungar escaped injury. (Both incidents in 9/JG-54). Entered combat alongside JG-26 in late Dec. 44 after being equipped with the Fw 190D "Long Nose". One known victory, a Typhoon of RCAF No. 439 Sq. on 29 December, 1944. He was the sole survivor of JG-54s worst lost on "Swartze Tag" (Black Day), 29 December, 1944, where 31 out of 70 AC were lost to Allied fighters. Flugbuch (5/43 to 5/45).

23312 Unger, EdmundFw4/15/1919Austria13/Schl.G.-10 (10/43), 4/Schl.G.-10 (11/43)Fw 190G-3 Werk # 160307 (lost 11/5/43)Ground Assault Operational ClaspKilledInAction (KIA) 5 November, 1943 after being shot down by a P-47D of 4FG, 335FS, piloted by Capt Fonzo D. Smith. His G-3 crashed in a wooded marsh 1.6km SE of the village of De Vieut and 3.2km NE of Best Holland (DeSwart & Vico Parlevliet). His body was eventually recovered in April, 1991, and buried at De oude Toren, Eindhoven. Another source reports the location as in the Venlo-Hertogenbosch area, watery grave? The Dutch Air Force, under the supervision of Gerrie Zwanenburg, recovered Unger's body, and he was re-buried at Ysselsteyn, CA-14-348 on 23 July, 1991.

Started pilot training in late 1942, after two years as an AC Technician. One of the most successful Sturmjager (Ram Fighters) in the Home Defense. Shot down three times, the 3rd being on 3 August, 1944 after downing a B-24. He was hit by the bombers return fire over the Lechtal Alps in "Yellow 7", bailing safely. 59 combat missions. 19 bombers. 3 victories in the East. His 1st victory, a B-17 at Warnemünde on 11 April, 1944. His 5th, a B-17 35 km E of Kassel on 19 April, 1944. His 10th & 11th, both B-24s in the Oschersleben area on 7 July, 1944. His 12th, a B-17 30 km SE of Memmingen on 18 July, 1944. His 13th, a B-17 at Zeitz-Groitsch on 29 July, 1944. His 14th & 15th, both B-24s at Füssen on 3 August, 1944. His 16th & 17th, both B-17s at Brünn on 29 August, 1944. His 18th, a B-17 at Hettstedt on 11 September, 1944. His 19th, a B-17 N of Berlin on 12 September, 1944. His 20th, a B-17 NE of Kölleda on 7 October, 1944. His 22nd, a P-39 7 km SE of Stargard on 19 February, 1945. Nos. 23 & 24, both Pe-2s in the Griefenberg area on 15 March, 1945. No victories in the Me 262. Flugbuch (2/44 to 3/45). Deceased 31 December, 1981.

Added: Fw Ungericht and his gunner, Uffz Kurt Küster, were injured in the crashlanding along the road, Stryj-Bolechow, 1.5km N of Lisewice, where they were captured by the Russians. Local inhabitants stated they were murdered by the NKWD. The other two crew evaded capture and ret'd to their unit (12 O'clock Forum).

Flew the Me 262 and Ar 234 on numerous missions over the Normandy Front, including several at the Remagen Bridge. Bodenplatte commander whose mission it was to bomb British airfields near Eindhoven. Last bomber pilot to receive the RK. Deceased 24 January, 2004.

His R/O & gunner were KilledInAction (KIA), however his Observer, Ofw Adolf Schimank (EK 1 & 2, Wound Badge & Bomber Clasp) was wounded but survived. Info found online. Added: The date was 7 April, 1942 and the location was in the area of Chernyshovo, Vologda Oblast, Russia. Fw Unsin was WIA this date. The remaining crew: Uffz Dietrich Lambach, R/O (WIA) and Uffz Rudolf Worde, Gnr (KilledInAction (KIA)), is believed buried among the "unknowns" in the Ger War Cem at Korpowo, Russia (D.Drury). Added: Unsin was sd by Allied fighters near Briest/Brandenburg on 23 March, 1945, his disposition unknown (C.König).

He downed a Hurricane II of RAF No. 238 Sq., piloted by Sgt West, 10 km north of El-Alamein (into the Sea) on 29 August, 1942. A 4th, a P-40 in the Daba area on 1 November, 1942.

Nos. 5 & 6, a Pe-2 and a Yak-9 on 10 October, 1944. A 7th, a Pe-2 on 22 October, 1944. Nos. 8 & 9, both Il-2s on 27 October, 1944. Nos. 10 & 11, a Pe-2 and a Yak-9 on 30 October, 1944. His 1st in JG-26, a P-47 of 78FG in the Etrepagny area, NW of Paris, on 26 November, 1943. Another, a B-17 into the Zuider Zee on 11 January, 1944. A P-38 at Hückelhoven on 16 September, 1944. Two C-47s W of the Arnhem Drop Zone on 21 September, 1944. Magnus. Also referred to as Franz in the Caldwell book, but I am fairly certain he and Heinrich are one in the same.
