There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Believed to have bailed safely. One known victory, his 1st, a B-17 N of Braunschweig on 23 March, 1944. His 2nd, a B-17 E of Lünen on 22 April, 1944. His 3rd, a B-24 (HSS) in the Eifel area on 12 May, 1944. Added: Buried in the War Grave Cem, Saarbrücken-Burbach Waldfriedhof, Bk 46, Gr 396 (M.deWolf).

The Ju 88 took numerous hits and climbed steeply away, bursting in flames shortly afterwards, crashing at the foot of the cliffs at Blea Wyke Point. Remaining crew: Ofhr Karl Schültze, Observer (KilledInAction (KIA)), Ofw Werner Hanel, wireless operator (KilledInAction (KIA)) and Uffz Artur Gräber, gunner (MIA). The bodies of Karl Schültze and Hanel were recovered and buried at the Acklam Road Cemetery, Thornaby-on-Tees. . It is believed that Weber and Gräber are also buried at Thornaby in two graves marked "Ein Deutsche Soldat". Weber buried at Thornaby-on-Tees, Section O, Row L, Grave 10, his burial slip held by RAF Air Historical Branch (Joe Potter Grave Search).

KilledInAction (KIA) 21 March, 1945 in his 262, when the B-17 he was attacking exploded. Lt Ambs and Uffz Giefing were the other 262 pilots in on the attack. Magnus. The story of this B-17, #43-38072 of the 490BG, 850BS was featured on the History Channel. The tailgunner, Craig Bennett was the only survivor of the B-17 (flown by 1/Lt J.J.Schultz. One known victory, a B-17 on 10 October, 1943. A Mosquito on 8 August, 1944, at Ohlstadt, SW of Munich, believed to be the first Me 262 victory (H.Breuer per the book Jagdflugzeuge der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1939-1945"). Added: This was Mosquito Photo Recon MkXVI of RAF No.540 Sq., crewed by F/Lt Desmond L.Matthewman (pilot) and F/Sgt William D.Stopford (nav). Both KilledInAction (KIA), Buried Durnbach War Cem., Germany, joint grave A-5, 12-13 (D.Drury). A Mosquito on 14 September, 1944, no location given. A Mosquito on 18 September, 1944, again, no location. This Mosquito was the last victory scored by EKdo 262. A P-38 at Pritzwalk on 2 December, 1944. His 8th, a B-17 on 3 February, 1945. His 9th, a P-51 E of Lüneburg on 24 February, 1945. His 10th, a P-51 on 14 March, 1945. Nos. 11 & 12, , both B-24s on 15 March, 1945. His 13th, and last victory, a B17 NW of Dresden on 21 March, 1945, the date of his death. 9 victories in the Me 262. Jager Blatt article. In 8 Staffel, on 9 December, 1942 he was shot down with wounds in the G-2 northeast of Stalino. Also, on 11 August, 1943, he was shot down w/o wounds in the "Black 8" over Norderney. His first known Soviet victory, a LaGG-3 on 28 September, 1942. One known western victory, a B-17 over northern Germany on 15 May, 1943.

He was on a mission photographing airfields in Northern France. The AC crashed at Torhout-Kruiskens Belgium, where he was taken prisoner, having bailed successfully. One source implies that Fw Weber was towing Fw Josef Andreaus's Go 145 (when they crashed?).

He circled frantically when his engine siezed just before he hit the barn. Fire Brigade members found the WWI veteran, von Wedel, unhurt, nearly in tears, repeating "Ive killed a woman". The Fire Brigade members did not have the heart to tell the 47 year old pilot about the child. Later repatriated from the Bowmanville POW Camp, and KilledInAction (KIA) during ground combat in Pommerania during the Russian advance in 1945 (Source: History Journal per Guy Ellis). One of his fellow POWs thought he may have been repatriated due to his age, as he was not injured in the crash (Source: Guy Ellis).

His R/O-Gnr, Uffz Wilhelm Banser, was also killed in the crash; both burried in the same grave, Blk 1, Grave 113, in the War Graves Cemetery, Cagliari, Sardinia (Bf 110 Loss List & Jörg Windmüller). One known victory, his 1st, a Hurricane north of Creil, 3 June, 1940 while a Lt in JG-53. Added: The cause of the crash, as reported by the Malta War Diary, is that he failed to clear a ridge on the Gozo island, while flying low at dawn. Three other 110's were strafing Takali (R.Varga 3/2019).

Uninjured in a force landing at Hasselt on 18 August, 1943 after combat. One known victory, a B-17 (HSS) W of Bremen on 8 October, 1943. Another, a B-17 (HSS) on 25 February, 1944, no location. His 5th, a P-47 at Caen-Dives on 7 July, 1944. His 6th, a Spitfire in the Ghent area on 1 January, 1945. Shot down and wounded by flak on 24 April, 1945 while in JG-300. Ofter flew wingman for Otto Bach. Survived the war. A retired Bundeswehr (Luft) Gen Lt. in 1981.
