There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

His first complete victory, a Spitfire I over Dordrecht, 13 May, 1940. His 2nd, a Hawk-75A at Roubaix, 19 May, 1940. His 3rd & 4th, both Hurricanes north of Dunkirk, 1 June, 1940.

After the crash-landing near the village of Teriberka,the crew sunk maps and code papers in the sea and left the plane at the beach and tried to get away through the Tundra. After four days in the Tundra, 3 of the crew come to a observation post in Tyuva-Guba and asked for permission from the Red Navy officer of duty to surrender. The 4th crew member, pilot Wendt, had to split from the 3 and surrendered later or at another place. The aircraft was in not a too bad condition and was later dismantled, loaded onto a barge, delivered to workshops, reassembled, tested and flown. During a test flight on 13/02/43 the aircraft crashed killing the pilot senior lieutenant Startsev Ivan Danilovich from the 24th MTAP Air Force SF and senior technician-lieutenant Lebedev Mikhail Vasilievich from the 15th Air Force Air Force Base (CKönig)

Fridolin Becker, he tried to reach Germany but fell into an ambush by Czech guerillas after being disarmed by Soviets. Many were killed including Rudi Wendt. Approximately 600 missions as an Assault Pilot. His first known victory, a Soviet Il-2 (m.H.) on 4 June, 1944.

KilledInAction (KIA) 10 April, 1945 in a dogfight over Vienna with Soviet fighters near Deutsch-Wagram. He crashed into a railway embankment in the vicinity of the Aspern airfield and bled to death as the result of a very serious back wound probably by a Flak grenade. Buried in Vienna Zentralfriedhof, Grp 97, Blk 5, Row 24, Gr 119. His first known victory, a LaGG-5 on 28 April, 1944 (Added: according to a letter of Wenger his first confirmed kill was a Pe-2 on his 201st mission on 24-25?/03/44. CKönig). 372 missions, including 71 fighter bomber missions. Added: SD by an American fighter 27 June, 1944, 55km from Bucharest. He was reported to have claimed two additional Russian victories over Vienna on April 4th & 5th, 1945 (Carolyn Yeager/Willi Wenger online article). Added: During heavy Jabo missions on the English south coast against English warships, Wenger sank one (other src 2) destroyers and a submarine escort ship with a total of 20,000 GRT Merchant shipping space. He also took part very successfully in the fight against the Allied landing at Dieppe, where he seriously damaged the destroyer "BERKELEY", which was later sunk by its own crew. After being wounded by Allied bombing raids and spending several months in a hospital, he returned to his unit in the southern section of the Eastern Front at the end of October 1944. His 300th combat mission in May 1944. > 400 combat missions: according to a letter of Wenger to his father dated 17/12/44 he was presented champagne from his commander Major Götz Baumann on the occasion of his 400th combat flight. Had to make a belly landing on first mission after the christmas holidays 1944. (CKönig)

His first mission was over southern England in June, 1943. In July, 1943, the Group transferred to Sicily. Injured in a crash in October, 1943. After recuperating, he was assigned to NSG-4 in November, 1943, at Kiew, where he flew night and day missions. Wounded a 2nd time in March, 1944. After recuperating, assigned to SG-104 at Tutow-Aalborg. October 1944, assigned to I/SG-151 and later to III/SG-1(4/45) in defense of the Reich (Berlin). One known victory in SG-1, a Soviet La-5 on 27 April, 1945. Alternate spelling: Wenke (OKL 4/45 victory). Living in Lindau on the Bodensee in 2003. Jager Blatt 4/2003. With his rear guns unservicable, Liebsch photographed the attacking P-51s. Wenko crash landed his 410, and Liebsch snapped a few more photos of their burning AC and of Wenko inspecting the blazing cockpit area. Opposed the 6 March, 1944 Raid on Berlin, the raid R. Kracker was shot down during. Very experienced pilot with 100+ missions. 10 bombers. On 5 March, 1942, he is reported to have downed a PRU Spitfire "AA-810. His 3rd victory, a B-17 on 21 May, 1943 over Wilhelmshaven. His 2nd victim, a B-17, came on 17 April, 1943, and another, unconfirmed on 14 May, 1943. A double victory, his 5th & 6th, both B-24s NW of Helgoland on 4 October, 1943. His 10th, a P-47 on 22 December, 1943. His 15th, a P-47 in the Qackenbrück area on 6 March, 1944. Shortly after he saved the life of H. Knoke, on 6 March, 1944, he was shot down near Quakenbrück by a P-47 of 78FG, piloted by Lt Walter Tonkin. Badly wounded in the left forearm, he bailed successfully, and later returned to action. His 16th victory, an La-5 in the Küstrin area on 15 February, 1945. His 17th, a Yak-9 in the Küstrin area on 21 March, 1945. His 20th, a Pe-2 on 16 April, 1945. His 21st, a Yak-9 on 18 April, 1945. In this action, he collided with Uffz Heinz Marquardt who was able to bail out into the Thames, and was picked up by British ASR and taken POW. On 2 July, 1941, he was forced to bail out with injuries from his F-2over St. Omer due to engine problems. One known victory, his 1st, a Spitfire 8 km NNW of Ft. Philippe on 23 July, 1941. His 2nd, a Spitfire of RAF No. 91 Sq. 8 km west of Dieppe on 6 December, 1942. Added: Still listed as MIA?? (C.König).

His "GH" ac was sd 16 August, 1940 over the sea 25km south of the Isle of Wight and Flt Engr Uffz Maerin Töpper was WIA. They ditched at sea and were rescued by air-sea rescue service. His "BH" ac was sd by enemy fighters two days earlier, and Werlin made an emergency landing at Lisieux. Werlin was injured as was his Obs, Ofw Gustav Rose and his Flt Engr, Fw Heinrich Feiner. 299 combat missions. Deceased 12 September, 1948, Starnberg am See.
