There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

When Wolff realized he was too low to bail, with the starboard engine disabled and the port engine and the cockpit on fire, he made a force landing on the main road alongside Westlands Plantation, at Ottringham, near Hull. Remaining crew: Fw Hugo Keller, Observer (POW), Uffz Wilhelm Rautenberg, rear gunner (KilledInAction (KIA)) and Uffz Werner Hans Kruczinski, wireless operator (KilledInAction (KIA)). Kruczinski and Rautenberg were wounded during the attacks. Wolff, Keller and Kruczinski managed to clear the fiery wreck. Rautenberg had fallen clear of the wreckage before it came to rest, badly injured. He and Kruczinski died of their wounds at the Hull Infirmary on 21 and 22 August, respectively, and were buried in the German Military Cemetery at Cannock Chase, Staffordshire.

His Do 17 damaged 27 May, 1940 making an emergency landing at Giessen due to fuel shortage after a mission to Dunkirk, no injuries reported. During his landing approach in "Green 3" at Plantlünne, he and his wingman, Uffz Willi Dachmann, in D-9 Werk # 500568, collided and were killed as both AC crashed. Wollnitz, a dedicated National Socialist, was showing off for his girlfriend, making a tight bank around a farmhouse near the airfield, when he struck his wingman. He was considered one of the best pure pilots in the Group, but was not a successful fighter pilot. Alternate spelling: Wolnitz.

Shot down 2 July, 1944 over the Normandy Invasion Front, his disposition unknown. One known victory, his 1st, a P-47 at Carentan on 17 June, 1944.

Uninjured 7 July, 1941 when he crashed his E-1 in the Bziszna vicinity. Uninjured 8 July, 1941 when he went MIA briefly with unnamed crew after aerial combat at Volyniec in his E-3, pilot returned (Bf 110 Loss List). He was injured when his Me 262 V5 crashed at Lechfeld due to engine trouble. He bailed with wounds from his Me 262A-1a over Northheim after combat with American fighters in the Dessau vicinity (LOCS & C.Sundin). Two other experienced pilots from JG-7 were sd this same day; Oblt Kelp and Lt Amos. One known victory, a B-17 (HSS) S of Berlin on 24 March, 1945. Wörner was one of three Messerschmidt Experimental Test pilots (with Oblt Ernst Tesch and Uffz Hans Flachs).

The AC burst into flames on impact. The cause has not been determined, but misty conditions did exist this evening. Remaining crew (all KilledInAction (KIA)): Ofw Hans Schulte-Mäter, Observer, Uffz Alfred Rodermond, wireless operator and Uffz Gerhard Pohling (geb. 12/20/1914), gunner. All four crew members were buried with full military honors at Acklam Road Cemetery, where they still lie.

The reported cause was flying being undertaken by an unqualified crewman. Remaining crew: Lt.z.S. Max Altenkrüger, Obs (KIFA) ; Uffz Gerhard Krause, R/O (KIFA) and Uffz Walter Ernst, Flt Engr (rescued unhurt). Altenkrüger is remembered on the LaboeNaval Memorial; Krause buried at Trondheim-Havstein Cem. Row 18, Gr 45A (D.Drury). Added: unintentional water contact due to sun glare off the smooth water during low flight, sunk after recovery by towing in near Gardvik, Hiskjoe, 40 km N of Haugesund (CKönig)
