There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Our hosting service restricts database searches to a minimum of 4 characters, therefore searching on 3 or less will produce no results even if the name IS in our database. If you know the target's first name, put his full name in the first Search box in the form 'familyname, firstname' thus: Rau, Gunther.

If you only know his family name (for example Alt) then add 'x' to the name and search on that: thus search on Altx

If you need help, EMAIL us with name and database to search and we will perform the search manually for you.

Searching for a 3-character name requires special treatment

One of the leading female test pilots in aviation - later Countess von Stauffenberg (in 1937 she married Alexander Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg, the brother of Claus von Stauffenberg). Test flying of mainly dive bombers (up to ten hours/ day). After the failed assassination of Hitler her husband and she were arrested along with others in the Stauffenberg family. In 08/44 she was released on demand of Hajo Herrmann due to her important war effort in test flying. Her death is surrounded by secret and conspiracy. On 08/04/45 On 8 April 1945 she flew in direction of Schönberg - perhaps to rescue her husband - and was bounced by a P-51. Eye witnesses stated that she managed to belly land but later died of injuries in the hospital in Straubing. On the other hand there is a conspiracy theory: there were matching no US fighter claims while another eyewitness who helped Melitta Stauffenberg out of the wreckage claimed that her injuries were merey a broken leg and nothing life threatening (a possible Gestapo involvement in her death?).

This source suggests that only Niessl was taken prisoner after bailing, and the ac, with the others, returned to France, making a wheels-up landing (D.Drury). NOTE: Another source, Siegfried Radke book on KG-54 War Diary, suggests the pilots Family name was Fischer, and assigned to this ac B3 + TP. Both engines quit over the Isle of Wight, but restarted during a nose dive. Fischer managed to belly land at Evreux. I believe the name Siescher to be in error! I believe this is Lt Wilhelm Fischer of II/KG-54, KIC 10 September, 1940.
