There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

His permanent R/O, Ofw Georg Pöthig, was instrumental in achieving these successes, and was awarded the RK on 5 September, 1944, after more than 800 missions. EK 2(5/8/41), EK 1(7/31/41). Deceased 25 January, 2004 Hannover (P. Bastin).

Remaining crew: Lt Anton Land, Co-Pilot, washed ashore in Halvike Bay Sweden on 21 May, 1943, and was buried in the Trelleborg Cemetery. The ac, trailing smoke, crashed into Hogsfjorde, Rogaland County, Norway, killing all four. Three are found on the VDK listed in sea graves, and commemorated on the Kiel-Laboe Naval Memorial; Prf Mst Stephan, not found. Remaining crew (all KIC): Fw Heinz Dipper, R/O; Uffz Adolf Schneider, Mech and Prf.Mst. Stephan. Source: SIG Norway. POW 28 August, 1940 when he and his Rotteführer, Oblt Georg Beyer, were shot down by Hurricanes of RAF No. 79 Sq. over Canterbury. Straub made an emergency landing at Goodnestone House Farm, Goodnestone. Both survived the war as POWs. His one victory, a Spitfire of RAF No. 54 Sq. N of Margate on 24 July, 1940.

His EK 1 was awarded on 8 July, 1940. The Gold Bomber Clasp in Gold was issued on 4 June, 1942. Black Wound Badge on 4 February, 1942. In the 13 April incident, his Wk# 4785 was damaged by AA fire in the Kholm area, no further detail (D.Drury).

Stutterheim was treated at a St Dizier hospital, and then air-lifted to Berlin (Kaiser RK book & D.Stankey & L.DeZeng). Died of injuries in Berlin 3 December, 1940. He led the Do 17 unit on the raid on the Krakow airfield in Poland on 1 September, 1939.

He was an Obsv to an unknown crew. Obviously KIFA in the night of 31/07/41when crashed at Brognon, 20 Km NW of Dijon, France. (probably a night training flight. Since he was buried in Dijon it might have been the airfield at Dijon-Longvic where the Reserve Training & Replacement Unit of IV./KG 55 was stationed from 03/41 – 05/44 (found the evidence!), probably involuntary ground contact in the dark near the air field. 3 crew members were KIFA, the pilot, the Obsv and the Radop. The Gunr in the back was thrown out and survived WIA. The 3 dead were found in the cockpit at the crash site. Vogg was at the Obscv school in Lechfeld in 08/38. Poland, France and England campaign. In April 41 instructor at the Kriegsfliegerschule in Dijon. Was initially buried in war cemetery Dijon. Now he rests at Andilly German Military Cemetery Block 6 Row 3 Grave 154

MIA 3 March, 1943 near Pozzalo, failing to return from a search for another comrade and crew (Lt Berge) lost the night before near Sicily. He is presumed to have been shot down by Spitfires as a transmission to Air Traffic Control reported Spitfires swarming in the area. Remaining crew: Uffz Klaus Unterecker, Observer; Uffz Georg Sareiter, R/O and Uffz Hermann Wessels, Gunner. Ironically, Vogl carried a four-leaf clover in his Soldbuch, which he failed to carry on this last fateful mission. 102 Missions. He entered service on 29 November, 1938 as a Hitler Youth in a Flak Battery. Entered flight training 21 July, 1940, certified in the Ju 52, He 111, Ju 88 and also Night Fighter Training, before being assigned to IV/KG-54. Both he and his R/O-Gnr, Uffz Karl Rathenow, were wounded in the encounter, but rescued. Their ac has been currently recovered, and is in the Greek Air Force Museum in Athens (Andrea Babuin 12/2023).

English POW at wars end in Flensburg. Flew over 300 combat missions. Although born in NY, in his youth, he made his home in Friedrichshafen, in southern Germany. His first mission was over southern England in June, 1943. In July, 1943, the Group transferred to Sicily. Injured in a crash in October, 1943. After recuperating, he was assigned to NSG-4 in November, 1943, at Kiew, where he flew night and day missions. Wounded a 2nd time in March, 1944. After recuperating, assigned to SG-104 at Tutow-Aalborg. October 1944, assigned to I/SG-151 and later to III/SG-1(4/45) in defense of the Reich (Berlin). One known victory in SG-1, a Soviet La-5 on 27 April, 1945. Alternate spelling: Wenke (OKL 4/45 victory). Living in Lindau on the Bodensee in 2003. Jager Blatt 4/2003. Added: Deceased 26 November, 2020 (Georg Heete).

Furthermore he flew the 2000th combat mission of the 2.(H)/14 from La Marsa airfield, near Tunis, which was also his 164 combat mission. (CK)
