How can I find pilots in Kracker Archive who fought for Axis countries?

Solution

The German Luftwaffe had allies from Italy (before it switched sides), Croatia and others.

Pilots in the Kracker Archive who were not in Luftwaffe units can be found by Searching for their country of origin. Then look at the Unit(s) associated with a specific name. If these are the familiar Luftwaffe units - JG53 for example - then you know the pilot flew as part of the Luftwaffe. Otherwise his units will be those of his country of origin.

We are working through the Archive to explicitly state the pilot's Service. All Italians for example have Regia Aeronautico Italiana specified.
