REASON FOR LOSS:
During a patrol his Typhoon was hit by flak and suffered engine failure.
Forced to land in German held territory 3 miles South of Rheden, he was captured and made PoW.
Burial details:
None, the pilot from Vancouver, Canada, survived the war after being liberated by the Russians on the 22nd April 1945 from Stalag Luckenwalde. Previously served with 118 Squadron and this was reported to be his 63rd Operational sortie.
