REASON FOR LOSS:

Very few derails as to cause of loss, failed to return from an operational patrol off Tripoli.

F/O. Arthur Thomas Read. Malta Memorial. Panel 1, Column 1. Son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Read, of North End, Portsmouth. Attended Portsmouth Grammar School 1928 - 1936.

Sgt. Cedric Tyson Brown. Malta Memorial. Panel 2, Column 1. Born on the 22 February 1921 at Townsville, Queensland. Enlisted on the 21st June 1940. Son of Cedric Tyson Brown (A lieutenant in 3 Squadron of the Australian Flying Corp, served in France WW1. died 26th December 1969, aged 73 years) and Gertrude Mary Brown (nee Lewis. A Welsh girl from Treherbert, died 04th February 1970), of Townsville, Queensland, Australia.
