No further details, but the remainder returned safely.

None - he survived the war.

Born on the 06th December 1921. Of Maori descent. Son of William Jeremiah Swinton (died 03rd January 1975, age 87) and Ruhiterangi 'Lucy' Swinton (née Paora - died 10th May 1938m age just 38) of Te Kaha, Eastern Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. His father served in the NZ Maori Pioneer Battalion during WW1.
