REASON FOR LOSS:
About to make a landing but at 14:30 flew into high ground in poor visibility.
Both crew members losing their lives.

Sgt. Ralph Edmond William Wilson (as listed on the CWGC). Maidstone Cemetery. Plot C.C.1. Grave 10. Born on the 15th April 1920 at Dunedin. Enlisted on the 27th October 1940. Son of Richard Victor and Gladys Mary Wilson (née Wallinton), of Lauder, Otago, New Zealand. Stepson of John Maurice Charles Brookdale Lauder. Note; his birth certificate does not show the name William and he served using Ralph Edmond Wilson. A total of 258 solo flying hors logged.
Sgt. Francis Paul Miller. Oxford Cemetery (Rose Hill). Sec. J. 3. Grave 128. Son of James Miller and of Frances Lilian Miller, of Headington, Oxford. Grave inscription: 'Eternal Rest Give Unto Him, O Lord; And Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him'.
