Pilot: Sgt. Tadeusz Zawistowski 780255 PAF Age 25. Killed


On an Interception and formation flying training when during the flight collided in the air with Sgt. Stanislaw Slowikowski who had joined the squadron from 303 based at Speke just 9 days previously.

His Spitfire W3724 crashed into the Ruislip Lido and was killed instantly. Sgt. Slowikowski although injured, managed to land.

Burial Details:

Sgt. Tadeusz Zawistowski. Northwood Cemetery. Sect H. Grave 188. Born Wilno, Służył, Poland on the 12th October 1915. Next of Kin details currently unavailable.
