REASON FOR LOSS:

With the great research carried out by Errol Martyn on the Royal New Zealand Airforce losses we have been able to compile this page. If you have further information and or photographs we would welcome contact from you.

Taking off from the advanced landing ground at Einhoven to carry out a Armed Reconnaissance over the Rees - Emmerich area at 11:50 hrs with 7 others from the squadron.

They attacked barges seen at the jetties on the Pannerdens Canal with rockets and that was the last they saw of Fl/Sgt. Edwards, they tried calling him but no reply was made. A brief search was made with no trace of him or wreckage.
