Pilot: P/O. Władysław Pucek 76724 PAF Age 27. Killed

REASON FOR LOSS:

Disappeared in clouds and crashed near Blackburn, Lancashire, England.

P/O. Pucek had escaped injured from a previous accident on the 1st December 1941 also with 317 squadron.

After a scramble, he overshot the landing in Exeter in Spitfire Vb ADD372 - the aircraft was repaired with P/O. Pucek spending some time convalescing, prior to his return to the squadron.

P/O. Władysław Pucek. Layton Cemetery, Blackpool, England. (shown left) Grave. BB. 494. Born on the 19th April 1915. From Grójek, Warsaw, Poland. Next of kin details currently not available - are you able to assist completion of these and any other information?
