There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

4./NJG 2 (06/41 Gilze-Rijen)Ju 88 C-2 "R4 + IM" Werknr 0785 (lost 14/06/41)MIA after his Ju 88 crashed into the North Sea NW of Schouwen Holland the night of 13/14 June, 1941 (DeSwart). On the return flight from an Intruder Mission over England, Alt spotted a dinghy in the water below and circled while the R/O sent out a distress signal to Air Sea Rescue. To the horror of the He 111 H-5 "5J + KS" Werknr 3883 , 8/KG-4 (A.Rosseels) crew in the dingy, the wingtip of the Ju 88 hit the water, sinking immediately, and taking the crew with it. The entire crew perished. Remaining crew (KIC): Uffz Hans Georg Suckow (geb 09/07/1920, Gumbinnen), R/O and Uffz Erwin Willi Korn (geb 11/10/1920, Bitigheim), Gunner. Suckow & Korn are remembered on the Laboe Naval Memorial (D.Drury). Added: The He 111 crew were rescued except for Uffz Karl Brückner, Flt Engr (D.Drury).

Erwin Härtel; crashed at Lipatanaapa, Finland due to engine failure. Found dead in the wreckage by Russian partisans, but gravesite unknown to officials (Rune Rautio). Alternate spelling: Assmauss (Bf 109 Loss List, microfilm roll #7). Added, extracts from a Pasi Olkkola, of Vuotso, Finland, email 2/27/2025, seeking crew disposition: The ac was on a transfer flight from Pori to Kirkenes, when it seems the pilot attempted an emergency landing in the marshlands south of Saariselka. "This airplane was dismantled, moved to the shore of the nearby Kopsus River, and transported by raft, to the nearest road. The people who moved it, said there were bones in the area." "One of the planes engines had suffered bearing damage, and partly because of this, the plane crashed". (A) women's shoes and a women's wristwatch were found at the crashsite". In 1990, Pasi interviewed two witnesses. One said the bodies were retrieved; the other said there were no bodies. Help appreciated! Added: The crew are commemorated in the German War Cem. at Norvajärvi, Finland, altho their bodies are not there (K.Mikkola/Pasi Alkkola 3/2025).

Major Emil Badorrek (6 May 1910 - 26 December 1944) had participated in World War II from the invasion of Poland to Russia as a scout pilot using the Junkers Ju 88 aircraft. In September 1943 his plane was converted to Junkers Ju 188. He was awarded the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes # 947 dated 22 November 1943 as Hauptmann and Staffelkapitän 4. (Fern) Staffel / Aufklärungsgruppe 11 / Stab Fernaufklärungsgruppe 2 / Luftflotte 6, and Eichenlaub zum Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes # 652 dated 18 November 1944 as Major and Staffelkapitän 4. ( Fern) Staffel / Aufklärungsgruppe 11 / Stab Fernaufklärungsgruppe 2 / Luftflotte 6. These prestigious medals were received for their extraordinary dedication as scout pilots who always displayed courage in any difficult situation so they were able to carry out their duties well and bring valuable enemy position reports. Not only that, he also added a record of his achievements by destroying a number of vehicles and the position of land defense using his aircraft. The Junkers Ju 188D-2 "T5 + LK" (Werknummer 150492) which he piloted was shot down along with his crew (Leutnant Josef Reinardy, Oberfeldwebel Gerhard Siller and Oberfeldwebel Franz Felician) at 12:54 a.m. above Tomaszowice near Krakow (Poland) at the end in 1944. No one survived the incident. During his career Badorrek was noted to have participated in 580 combat missions.

Both engines were giving out so Geiger made a force landing on the beach. The Gunner, a 53 year old Major, was making his first war flight and was slightly injured. He and several other of his comrades didnt even have time to bail out. A Luftwaffe veteran since 1935, he won the Spanish Cross as the bomber crewman.
