There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Struck by flak and then finished off by 5 Spitfires of RAF No. 602 Sq.. Wounded, he splashed into the sea, with three crewmen, off Crail, in the mouth of Firth of Forth, County Fife. He was the second German AC brought down over Britain since WWI (the fist was Oblt Sigmund Storp, brother of later famed bomber pilot, Walter Storp). Remaining crew: Fw Werner Weise, Obs, MIA; Uffz Kurt Naake, R/O, KilledInAction (KIA) and Gefr August Schleicher, Gnr, WIA & DOW later. Naake's body not recovered; Schleicher buried CC/3/15/477. Correction/additions by D.Drury. Alternate spelling: Pöhle.

Pohle crewmembers' funeral at Joppa Cemetery, Edinburgh, they were re-interned post war in the German Military Cemetery at Cannock Chase, England.

POW 16 October, 1939; shot down north of Port Seton, Firth of Forth, by fighters of No. 603 Sq.. Two other unnamed crew MIA (Ju 88 Loss List). Added: Remaining crew: Ofw Hugo Köhnke, Obs (POW); Ofw Hans Hielscher, R/O (POW) and Ogefr Friedrich Krämer, Gnr (MIA). He was interned in a Canadian POW camp. The pilots credited with the victory were F/Lt P.Gifford, F/O K.MacDonald and F/O C.Robertson. He served in Spain, was the brother of Walter Storp, and became a well-known music composer after the war (D.Drury).

Belived to be a different Sigmund than Rudolf, due to the date of his 1st victory per OKL Claims List. In the text "RAF Bomber Command Losses, 1942" author W.R.Chorley identifies an Oblt Rudolf Sigmund with the following victory: a Stirling I of RAF No. 7 Sq. crashing into the sea west of Bergen-aan-Zee, the night of 20-21 June, 1942, an Oblt at the time. A 2nd, a Halifax II of RAF No. 405 Sq. at Noordwalde (Friesland), 16 km SE of Heerenveen Holland, the night of 29-30 June, 1942.

KilledInAction (KIA) 3 October, 1943 over Kassel in "D5 + AD" after being hit by German AA guns and crashing near Göttingen. The other crew, Fw Hugo Bauer and Uffz Johannes Dittrich also perished. All three buried at Reichenbrüch. Made a belly landing on 25 July, 1943 in "G9 + AX" after aerial combat near Leuwarden, injuring Bauer & Sigmund. 26 of his victories were Night victories. 150 combat missions. His first victory, a Halifax on 4 January, 1943. Another, a Wellington into the sea on 20 February, 1943. Another, a B-24D into the sea, of 44BG during the Emden raid on 26 February, 1943. A B-24 on 26 March, 1943. A B-17 on 17 April, 1943. A Wellington near Metz on 13 May, 1943. A Lancaster at Grafhorst and another at Ijsselmeer on 13 June, 1943. Two Stirlings and a Wellington and a Lancaster on 26 June, 1943. Alternate spelling: Siegmund (Jager Blatt).
