There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

When Wolff realized he was too low to bail, with the starboard engine disabled and the port engine and the cockpit on fire, he made a force landing on the main road alongside Westlands Plantation, at Ottringham, near Hull. Remaining crew: Fw Hugo Keller, Observer (POW), Uffz Wilhelm Rautenberg, rear gunner (KilledInAction (KIA)) and Uffz Werner Hans Kruczinski, wireless operator (KilledInAction (KIA)). Kruczinski and Rautenberg were wounded during the attacks. Wolff, Keller and Kruczinski managed to clear the fiery wreck. Rautenberg had fallen clear of the wreckage before it came to rest, badly injured. He and Kruczinski died of their wounds at the Hull Infirmary on 21 and 22 August, respectively, and were buried in the German Military Cemetery at Cannock Chase, Staffordshire.

br>Bomber Operational Clasp in Bronze		He was an Obsv to an unknown crew. Obviously KIFA in the night of 31/07/41when crashed at Brognon, 20 Km NW of Dijon, France. (probably a night training flight. Since he was buried in Dijon it might have been the airfield at Dijon-Longvic where the Reserve Training & Replacement Unit of IV./KG 55 was stationed from 03/41 – 05/44 (found the evidence!), probably involuntary ground contact in the dark near the air field. 3 crew members were KIFA, the pilot, the Obsv and the Radop. The Gunr in the back was thrown out and survived WIA. The 3 dead were found in the cockpit at the crash site. Vogg was at the Obscv school in Lechfeld in 08/38. Poland, France and England campaign. In April 41 instructor at the Kriegsfliegerschule in Dijon. Was initially buried in war cemetery Dijon. Now he rests at Andilly German Military Cemetery Block 6 Row 3 Grave 154CKönig

Added: Remaining crew: Ofw Hugo Köhnke, Obs (POW); Ofw Hans Hielscher, R/O (POW) and Ogefr Friedrich Krämer, Gnr (MIA). He was interned in a Canadian POW camp. The pilots credited with the victory were F/Lt P.Gifford, F/O K.MacDonald and F/O C.Robertson. He served in Spain, was the brother of Walter Storp, and became a well-known music composer after the war (D.Drury).

at least Night Fighter Operational Clasp in Bronze		KilledInAction (KIA) 7/8 October, 1943 while attacking a Stirling, EF 140, over the sea, 15 km N of Tversted, off Skagerak Denmark. The Ju 88 was seen to take hits and then caught fire, turning away, and crashed into the sea below, burning for some time. Only Mechanic OGefr Erwin Schröder survived by bailing and entering his dinghy. Gruppenkommandeur Simon and Radop Uffz Hans Vogel (born 27/05/1920 in Dresden, CK) went down with the AC (Air War over Denmark). Added: Buried at Esbjerg/Denmark (CK). WIC 1 March, 1943 when, on a non-operational flight, his right engine caught fire and he made an emergency landing on the beach area north of Blaavand Denmark. He and Mech Fw Erwin Schröder were taken to a hospital in Esbjerg for treatment. R/O Uffz Hugo Borgbömer was killed and buried in the Fovrfelt Cemetery on 4 March, 1943 (Source: Air War over Denmark). One known victory, a Stirling on 20 May, 1942. Another, a Wellington on 31 May, 1942. Two victories on 2 June, 1942; a Halifax and a Wellington. Two more victories on 9 June, 1942; a Halifax and a B-24. Another, a Blenheim on 26 June, 1942. The other crew, Fw Hugo Bauer and Uffz Johannes Dittrich also perished. All three buried at Reichenbrüch. Made a belly landing on 25 July, 1943 in "G9 + AX" after aerial combat near Leuwarden, injuring Bauer & Sigmund. 26 of his victories were Night victories. 150 combat missions. His first victory, a Halifax on 4 January, 1943. Another, a Wellington into the sea on 20 February, 1943. Another, a B-24D into the sea, of 44BG during the Emden raid on 26 February, 1943. A B-24 on 26 March, 1943. A B-17 on 17 April, 1943. A Wellington near Metz on 13 May, 1943. A Lancaster at Grafhorst and another at Ijsselmeer on 13 June, 1943. Two Stirlings and a Wellington and a Lancaster on 26 June, 1943. Alternate spelling: Siegmund (Jager Blatt).

Lange was forced to ditch in the North Sea 25 miles east of Whitby. Remaining crew: Lt Joachim Kretschmer, Observer (MIA), Uffz Bernhard Hochstuhl, wireless operator (POW) and Iffz Hugo Sauer, mechanic (KilledInAction (KIA)). Kretschmer and Sauer were killed early in the attack and Hochstuhl was wounded in the leg and barely escaped death when bullets scarred his flight helmet. Hochstuhl and Lange were picked up by ASR 43 hours after ditching, Lange suffering from exposure. Sauers body washed ashore near Whitby on 30 October, 1939 and he lies in the German Military Cemetery at Cannock Chase, Blk 3, Row 12, Gr364. Although Lange is said to be an Ofw, he appears to be wearing a Navy uniform in a picture of he and Hochstuhl in captivity. The photo may be applied to the wrong crew or the identifications on the photo (pg 22 Broken Eagles I) are reversed. Lange and Hochstuhl were the first German fliers captured on British soil during WWII.
