There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Approximately 600 combat missions. 20 victories in the West. His 1st western victory, a Spitfire NE of Margate on 24 July, 1940. His first known Soviet victory, a Yak-1 on 26 August, 1942. Three Yak-1s on 31 August, 1942, one of many multiple victories. Another multiple, three LaGG-3s on 8 September, 1942. Three Il-2s on 13 September, 1942. Six victories on 22 September, 1942; two Yak-1s and four LaGG-3s. A Yak-1 and three LaGG-3s on 19 October, 1942. Three Lagg-3s, an Il-2 and an I-16 Rata on 29 November, 1942. He downed the famous Russian Ace, Lt Dimitry Glinka of 45 IAP, on 15 April, 1943, in a P-39. Victory 118 was a P-38 in the Hannover-Braunschweig area on 10 February, 1944. His 125th victory, a B-24 at Uelzen on 8 April, 1944. His 126th, a P-51 at Salzwedel, same day, and the day of his death. Photo

One known victory, his 1st, a Typhoon of RAF No. 609 Sq. 2 km east of Dover on 15 December, 1942. One known Soviet victory, an Il-2 on 7 March, 1943. Another Il-2 on 14 March, 1943. A LaGG-5 on 15 March, 1943. A P-2 on 31 May, 1943. His 5th, a B-17 at Foret de Montmorency, N of Paris, on 26 November, 1943. His 6th, a P-51 S of Abbeville on 28 January, 1944. They aborted their mission and headed back to Bardufoss, but all four decided to bail once over land. They landed safely and were promptly taken into custody by Swedish authorities. Ditched in the Channel, with wounds, after aerial combat in Wk# 5212 on 23 November, 1940. Flew Bf 109F-2 Werk # 5434 "Black 3" in the S.U. in July, 1941. Flew Wk# 550314 as Stfkpt in 9/JG-2, making an emergency landing after aerial combat on 17 May, 1943, at Vannes-Meucon France. 15 Bombers, 56 Spitfires. 9 victories in the East. His first victory, a Battle west of Saarbrücken, 30 September, 1939. His 2nd, a Spitfire over England on 28 September, 1940. A 3rd & 4th, a Spitfire and a Hurricane 20 km N of Portland on 30 September, 1940. His 5th, a Spitfire 60 km N of Brest on 12 October, 1940. Nos.9 & 10, both Spitfires at Deal on 7 May, 1941. One of the top fighter pilots on the Channel Coast. Shot down twice over the Channel. His first known Soviet victory, a SB-2 N of Tauraggan on 22 June, 1941. On 19 August, 1942, near Dieppe, he achieved seven victories despite a broken leg and a brain concussion. Opposed the 6 March, 1944 Berlin Raid when he was Kdr III/JG-2. Wounded 29 December, 1943 in "Yellow 4", the AC damage and combat location unknown. For some time, he was the wingman of Hans Beisswenger. All his victories were in the East. After the crash-landing near the village of Teriberka,the crew sunk maps and code papers in the sea and left the plane at the beach and tried to get away through the Tundra. After four days in the Tundra, 3 of the crew come to a observation post in Tyuva-Guba and asked for permission from the Red Navy officer of duty to surrender. The 4th crew member, pilot Wendt, had to split from the 3 and surrendered later or at another place. The aircraft was in not a too bad condition and was later dismantled, loaded onto a barge, delivered to workshops, reassembled, tested and flown. During a test flight on 13/02/43 the aircraft crashed killing the pilot senior lieutenant Startsev Ivan Danilovich from the 24th MTAP Air Force SF and senior technician-lieutenant Lebedev Mikhail Vasilievich from the 15th Air Force Air Force Base (CKönig)

After what was described as "stiff combat", Firth returned to base at Scorton w/o his starboard engine, his Beaufighter overshot the runway, hitting a nearby house, killing Firth and gunner P/O R.G. Harding. Remaining crew (all MIA): Uffz Hans Joachim Hanisch, Observer, Ogefr Maximilian Reitter, wireless operator, and Ogefr Wilhelm Schlesinger, mechanic. Alternate spelling: Weigel.

A 3rd, a B-17 (HSS) at Rathenow on 6 October, 1944. A 4th, a B-17 at Dessau on 2 November, 1944. A 5th, an Il-2 on 20 February, 1945.

One source implies that Fw Weber was towing Fw Josef Andreaus's Go 145 (when they crashed?).

Believed to have bailed safely. One known victory, his 1st, a B-17 N of Braunschweig on 23 March, 1944. His 2nd, a B-17 E of Lünen on 22 April, 1944. His 3rd, a B-24 (HSS) in the Eifel area on 12 May, 1944. Added: Buried in the War Grave Cem, Saarbrücken-Burbach Waldfriedhof, Bk 46, Gr 396 (M.deWolf).
