There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

On 10 October, 1943, he was seroiusly wounded and served with Training Schools and later specialized in the R 4/M rockets. 307 combat missions. 25 Victories in the East. One known victory, his 1st, a Morane 406 35 km northeast of Tournai, 16 May, 1940. His 2nd, a Spitfire I over the Thames Estuary, 28 May, 1940. His 3rd, a Spitfire at Dover on 29 May, 1940. His 4th & 5th, both Hurricanes, believed to be of # 43 Sq., south of Dieppe, 7 June, 1940. Nos.6 & 7, a Hurricane at Brentwood and a Spitfire S of Gravesend, on 31 August, 1940. His 8th, a Hurricane at Southend on 24 September, 1940. A Spitfire at Canterbury on 28 September, 1940 which may have been unconfirmed. His 9th, a Hurricane at Tonbridge on 30 September, 1940. Transferred to 1/JG-77 after an offense with an officer. Serving in 7/JG-2, he downed a B-17 on 8 March, 1943. Bowers/Lednicer, 57 victories. Deceased 1 August, 2006 in Troisdorf (CK).

Bomber Operational Clasp w/Pendant		KilledInAction (KIA) 3/4 March, 1945 during Operation Gisela, the attack on RAF heavy bombers returning from a raid on synthetic oil plants at Kamen, in the Ruhr. Their Ju 88 infiltrated the bomber stream, attacking British bombers as they were landing, when their starboard wing struck a tree and clipped the corner of the Dunnington Lodge at Sutton on Derwent, near Elvington, Yorkshire, before hitting the ground and disintegrating. 400 plus missions, 2 Night victories, one a mine-laying Lancaster the night of 18/19 February, 1945. His crew 4 March, 1945 (all KilledInAction (KIA)): Fw Gustav Schmitz (geb 3/6/1921), wireless operator, Ofw Hugo Böker, radar operator and Fw Martin Bechter, mechanic. All are initially buried in Fulford, York, England, and in 1966 were re-interned at the German Military Cemetery at Cannock Chase. Only Bechter and Dreher are buried under their names, the other two are in graves marked "unknown", because they were so badly mutilated. One known, a "4 mot" SW of Gottingen on 29 August, 1944. The 2nd, a "4 mot" at Attendorn on 4 October, 1944. A 3rd, a Stirling opposing the Dortmund-Bremen Raid on 7 October, 1944. A 4th, a "4 mot" in the Deutsche Bucht area on 15 October, 1944. A 5th, same day, into the sea. Added burial loc, CC/8/3: Hptm Dreher, Gr 68; Fw Schmitz, Gr 67; Fw Bechter, Gr 73 and Ofw Böcker, Gr 72 (D.Drury).

He was one of the Home Defenses most successful four engined killers, with 32. His victories were all in the West. His 5th, a B-17 20 km northwest of Tossens on 27 January, 1943. His 14th, a Beaufighter N of Langeoog on 4 October, 1943. His 15th, a B-17 SE of Wangerooge on 8 October, 1943. A triple victory, Nos 19, 20 & 21 on 26 November, 1943; a B-17 at Cloppenburg, a B-17 SE of Oldenburg and a P-47 in the Leeuwarden area. His last four victories, 29th, 30th, 31st & 32nd, on 6 March, 1944, all B-17s, no locations. Burial: Ysselsteyn Block AX, Row 9, Grave 210. Added: In an outstanding performance Frey shot down 4 B-17s before return fire from a 5th sent his Fw 190 down to crash near Coevorden, Holland. Fighter Operational Clasp		HIs "Yellow 16" was reported lost during aerial combat at Müritzsee on 5 December, 1944. One known victory, his 1st, a Typhoon E of Caen on 19 July, 1944. His 2nd, a Spitfire 5 km W of Beauvais, near Caen, on 25 July, 1944. Shortly after, he was hit and his AC burst into flames, and he bailed safely with facial burns. His 3rd, a Typhoon 15 km NNW of Vire on 10 August, 1944. He had to bail out again, shortly after this victory, as he did after his 2nd. A 4th, perhaps unconfirmed, a P-51 escort on 5 December, 1944 during a Berlin raid.

Bomber Operational Clasp w/Pendant		Although not a pilot, his record is as noteworthy as that of Schnaufers crew, all bestowed with the Knights Cross. Originally in the 26th Infantry Regt., he transferred into the Luftwaffe in January, 1940. He graduated from Bombardier school and served with notable pilots such as Fw Becker over England, Uffz Hugo Greeven over England, Uffz Dries along the French Coast, Heinz Gericke (where Ludwig was designated as AC Commander, even tho he was not a pilot) over England, the French Coast and Russia, Lt Heinz Bussemer in Russia, Oblt Plümecke in Russia, and the most numerous (251) with Uffz Ludwig Denz in Russia. Altho nominated three times for the RK after his 400th mission, 4 October, 1943, his recommendations kept getting overlooked, even tho 400 was the acceptable number for bomber crews. 427 combat missions. In November, 1944, he was promoted to Oblt., and served in the 9th Paratrooper Regt, 15th Combat Engineer Company. A 4th RK recommendation was submitted by his Paratrooper Commander. Captured on 4 March, 1945, by American troops, he was released from captivity on 12 September, 1945.
