There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

WIA (KilledInAction (KIA)?) 27 July, 1942 during aerial combat with fighters. His Werk # 7481 made an emergency landingin the area of Pl.Qu.3917. Remaining crew (recovered from behind lines): Uffz Arno Werner (Co-Pilot); Ogefr Bernhard Brodatzki, R/O; and Uffz Walter Scholz, Flt Engr. The pilot believed responsible for their rescue may have been Lt Werner Utter. Earlier, on 14 June, 1942, Lt Bergmann was involved in a crash landing following AA fire at Luga, S of Lenningrad. Remaining crew: Stfkpt Hptm Karl Otto Hesse, Obs; Ogefr Bernhard Brodatzki, R/O; and Uffz Walter Scholz, Flt Engr. Three of the four known to survive the crash (D.Drury & DK-G Awards List). Oblt Bergmann declared deceased 21 May, 1970.

Remaining crew: Obsv Hptm Werner von Schulze, (see below) (MIA), Radop Fw Willi Engelskirchen (MIA) and Uffz Bernhard Brüggen, Gunr (MIA). Lt Bieroth was later recovered from the sea and buried in the Dyce Churchyard, Aberdeen Scotland, Grave 156 (LOCS & D.Masson, CK). Added: Obsv of Stab III./KG 30 and Prof.Dr. (Ing.) Werner von Schulze-LANGSDORFF (born 27/05/1899 in Forbach/Lorraine), WW1 participant as Lt d. Res. Postwar studied engineering. 1923 conferred with Dipl.Ing. then later a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. 1920s and 30s became a freelance engineering consultant and novelist (to 1936). 1936 regained his pilots licence. 1936 employed as professor at Technische Hochschule Karlsruhe. 1939 activated as an Oblt.d.R. then promo to Hptm., and trf to the research office of the RLM. 1940 trf to KG 30. Author of over 500 technical papers as Werner von Langsdorff. Author of about a dozen "boys books" under the pen name "Thor Groote". (LOCS, CK)

Condor Legion pilot. 410 combat missions (CK), won RK for sinking the 'Empress of Britain' on 26 October, 1940, on his very first operational flight! Added: This ship was England’s second largest vessel, and the largest ship sunk during the entirety of WW2. Received the Oak Leaves for for his successes as a Geschwader commander. His unit’s greatest achievement during this time was the sinking of the Italian battleship “Roma” on the 09.09.1943 using the new “Fritz-X” glide bombs. By the 15.09.1944 Hope had personally sunk/damaged 130000 GRT worth of enemy shipping, including a battleship. Since he took over the Geschwader on the 01.09.1943, his unit had sunk/damaged a total of 300000 GRT worth of shipping, sunk the battleship “Roma”, damaged another 4 battleships, and sunk/destroyed 8 cruisers and 22 destroyers (Tow).
