There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. His 2nd, a Spitfire on 27 August, 1942 15 km northwest of Cape Gris Nez. His 3rd, a Spitfire 15 km northwest of Cape Gris Nez on 27 August, 1942. His 4th, a Spitfire on 2 October, 1942.

While in II/JG-11, his G-5 motor exploded in mid-air on 8/12/44, and was thought to have been Sabotage. Krupinski came to JG-26 after the death of Klaus Mietusch. Scored two victories in JG-26. After the dissolution of III/JG-26 in March 1945, he joined JV 44, Adolf Gallands jet unit, flying the Me 262A-1a. One known early Soviet victory, two LaGGs on 11 May, 1943. On 5 July, 1943, he shot down 11 AC. One of many Soviet multiples, four LaGGs on 20 August, 1943. 1100+ combat missions. 20 victories in the West. His 190th victory, a P-51 SW of Magdeburg on 30 May, 1944. His 193rd, 194th & 195th victories on 1 July, 1944; all three P-47s at Douai-Cambrai. A P-51 at Coesfeld on 21 November, 1944. Victory number 196, a B-17 in the Stuttgart area on 8 April, 1945. His 197th, and last victory, an "e/a" in the last days of April, 1945. Germanys 16th ranked fighter Ace. Retired Bundeswehr GenLt.. Nos. 5 & 6, a Spitfire W of Canterbury and a Handley S of Ramsgate, on 8 August, 1940. A 7th, a Spitfire at Folkestone on 12 August, 1940. On 18 August, 1940, he shot down 4 Hurricanes at Canterbury (Nos.7,8,9 & 10 - including Franciszek Koslowski of 501 Sqd RAF ) and made a safe escape. No.15, a Spitfire at London on 7 September, 1940. His 30th, a Spitfire E of Marquise on 9 August, 1941. On 6 December, 1942, he downed a B-17 # 41-24553 of 305BG, 422BS. Shot down with wounds on 6 August, 1944 in Bf 109G-6 Werk # 440728 near Schwerin. Bailed safely. 700 combat missions. 40 victories in the West. Commanded JG-26 after Galland and before Priller. He bailed safely but suffered a shoulder injury, and was quickly captured by Canadian soldiers. Shot down two days earlier on 14 June, 1944, in "Yellow 13" by a P-38 of 55FG over Paris. His coolant line was hit and he made a belly landing just outside Paris after eluding his pursuer. He became the favorite wingman of Klaus Mietusch. Earlier flew wingman for Ofw Karl Laub in May, 1944, and Wolfgang Polster in June, 1944, before Mietusch. His two victories; a P-38 of 55FG in the Pontoise area, N of Paris, on 14 June, 1944 and a B-24 (HSS) of 392BG SW of Chartres on 15 June, 1944.

He crashed landed violently and died minutes later in the ambulance. Buried Bourdon France, Block 5/22/7 (Rosseels). Only a minute later, the Spitfire was shot down by Klaus Mietusch. Flew as Jauers wingman for a time.
