Injured in another crash on 25 April, 1945, when his Me 262 was shot down by a P-51. He carried the name "Christl", his wifes name on nearly all his AC. Barkhorns wingman was Fahnrich Graf Keller. His crew chief from 40 to 45, Cpl. Albert Kusterer. Shot down 9 times. In 1955, he joined the West German Luft. and became a General.
