Bailed safely from Wk# 710182 on 29 May, 1944, when one engine caught fire and the crew was forced to bail near Gram Denmark due to his engine set onfire by enemy action. Remaining crew: Fw Josef Geiger also bailed safely, but Ofw Werner Schuldts chute failed to deploy and he was killed. He was buried in the Fovrfelt Cemetery in Esbjerg on 2 June, 1944 (Source: Air War over Denmark).
