One known victory, his 1st, a B-17 on 8 October, 1943. His 2nd, a B-17 on 9 October, 1943. His 4th, a B-24 E of Husum on 13 November, 1943. His 5th and 6th, both B-17s on 5 January, 1944. His 7th, a B-17 (HSS) on 11 January, 1944. His 8th, a B-24 at Salzgitter on 20 February, 1944. His 9th, a B-17 SW of Siegen on 22 February, 1944. His 10th, a B-24 near Gotha on 24 February, 1944. Opposed the 6 March, 1944 Berlin Raid out of Rotenburg. On this date he was shot down in Fw 190A-7/R6-4 Wk# 642523 near Haseluenne/Quackenbrück by a P-47 of the 56FG, piloted by Maj. James Stewart. He bailed successfully after his cockpit filled with smoke, but fractured his knee hitting the tail assembly. Of his 12 victories, 10 were bombers.
