Obviously KIFA in the night of 31/07/41when crashed at Brognon, 20 Km NW of Dijon, France. (probably a night training flight. Since he was buried in Dijon it might have been the airfield at Dijon-Longvic where the Reserve Training & Replacement Unit of IV./KG 55 was stationed from 03/41 – 05/44 (found the evidence!), probably involuntary ground contact in the dark near the air field. 3 crew members were KIFA, the pilot, the Obsv and the Radop. The Gunr in the back was thrown out and survived WIA. The 3 dead were found in the cockpit at the crash site. Vogg was at the Obscv school in Lechfeld in 08/38. Poland, France and England campaign. In April 41 instructor at the Kriegsfliegerschule in Dijon. Was initially buried in war cemetery Dijon. Now he rests at Andilly German Military Cemetery Block 6 Row 3 Grave 154 | CKönig |
