Ziesig made a force landing in a field in the village of Villarios (Sardinia?) in Wk3 15310, after running out of fuel while over water, but having enough height to glide into the field. In October 1944, he was assigned to the paratrooper unit Hermann Göring Panzer Division. Sometime after this, he volunteered for the Rammtragers at Rosenheim, but no mention of any misions with them. He was captured by American troops in CzechoslovaKilledInAction (KIA) and released four months later. Lived in Australia after the war as commercial pilot. Deceased early 2000s.
