There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

One known victory, perhaps his first, an unnamed Soviet AC on 8 September, 1941 on a Free Hunt with Jurgen Harder (Prien). A P-40 on 14 December, 1941. His 7th victory was a Spitfire over Malta on 30 April, 1942. His 8th victory, a Beaufighter 10 km north northeast of Ras-el-Tir N. Africa on 15 June, 1942. His last victory, he claimed a Spitfire, but was probably a Hurricane or P-40, over Mersa Matruh on 26 June, 1942, just before being wounded later that day.

Gruppenkommandeur Simon and Radop Uffz Hans Vogel (born 27/05/1920 in Dresden, CK) went down with the AC (Air War over Denmark). Added: Buried at Esbjerg/Denmark (CK). WIC 1 March, 1943 when, on a non-operational flight, his right engine caught fire and he made an emergency landing on the beach area north of Blaavand Denmark. He and Mech Fw Erwin Schröder were taken to a hospital in Esbjerg for treatment. Note: Co DeSwart puts the location at Mol-Dessel Belgium. His 2nd "4 mot" victory, while in 9 Staffel, a B-17F # 42-3439 of 96BG, 413BS on 20 October, 1943, 3 km southest of Utrecht. It was flown by 2/Lt Charles F. Geyer and crashed in the village of De Bilt. Navigator 2/Lt Wm.J.Doherty and TG S/Sgt Frank Killarney evaded capture, after bailing from their crippled AC, with the help of Dutchman Richard van Nunen, at the risk of his own life, by German soldiers already out looking for the two Americans. In 9 Staffel, he was KilledInAction (KIA) 21 January, 1944 near Chivres-en-Lannois France, NE of Laon, in his G-6 in aerial combat with a P-47 of the 353rd FG, flown by Ace, Walter C. Beckham. On 1 June, 1943, he was mistaken by Wilhelm Steinmann, as a Spitfire, and shot down. For his punishment, Steinmann was sent to Romania. He bore the marks of his valor, said Johannes Steinhoff. "He had a piece of plastic in his skull, and a face whose two halves no longer quite matched". This, a result of a crash in 171559 after combat with "4 mots". His Bf 110G-4 Werk # 720410 "G9 + MD" crashed on Loomsweg in Reutum Holland (gem. Tubbergen) on 20/21 July, 1944, as a result of Lancaster return fire. His AC sported the Sharks Teeth. He was the last Kdr of III/NJG-1, from March, 1944 to the end. Survived the war. He assed away on the 13th of October 2013. In February 1947, Drewes was released from captivity. He then left Germany, travelling to Italy. In Genua, he took the ship, North King, to Brazil, arriving in Rio de Janeiro on the 20th of August 1949. From 1950 to 1951, he worked as a pilot and aerial photographer. There he built a career as an entrepreneur and married Dulce Hurpia, a Brazilian woman, who gave him a son, Klaus Drewes, a lawyer in Brazil. The long marriage ended only in 2010 by the death of his wife. He returned at least once each year on visits to Germany. He died on the 13th of October 2013 in Blumenau, southern Brazil, of natural causes. Survived another crash at Loenhout Be., near Hasselt in Wk# 19466 on 19 August, 1943 after aerial combat (Rosseels & Bf 109 Loss List). WIA a 3rd time, 16 March, 1944 during aerial combat in his Bf 109G-6, Werk # 161791 "Black 10", with a P-47 of 78FG SE of Vitry-les-Reims. One known victory, his 1st, a Hurricane west of Brighton on 30 November, 1942. On 17 August, 1943, Kraft shot down a B-17 42-30274 over Mol, of the 95th BG, 335BS. Piloted by Lt Col. Henry P. Sarnow, the B-17 was named "Our Bay-Be", and Krafts 109 was also shot down at Vierslag, with wounds, by the Bay-Bes right waist gunner, Wm. Binnebose. Ironically, the two shared a hospital room at Beverloo Belgium Kriegsmarine Hospital. On this date, Kraft served as wingman for Erich Burkert, who was officially credited with the victory. Postwar, he established the Nellspark Hotel in Trier Germany. Deceased 9 November, 2001.
