A 5th, an "unidentified" AC on 18 July, 1943. Two Wellingtons and a Halifax on 15 August, 1943, bringing his known total to 8 victories. A 9th, a B-24 on 18 August, 1943. A 10th, a Sunderland on 10 November, 1943. An 11th, a Mosquito at Biscay on 11 April, 1944. Magnus. Added: He participated in a victory on 01/06/43 when a KLM DC-3 flying civilians between Lisbon and Whitchurch, Bristol in England was shot down. 17 passengers including women and children and the American film star Leslie Howard were killed. The Ju 88 crews were apparently not aware this was a regular 'civilian' service. His 116th combat mission was on 30/06/44 (CK). |
