Where do I apply for my late relatives records?

Solution

You can apply for his/her service records as a relative. If you are a direct relative i.e. husband or wife, a charge does not normally apply. If not although you must still be a relative and proof must be provided that this is the case you can apply and a charge applies. No one else is permitted to obtain these records.

They are a great source to start your journey into finding out more. We would of course appreciate anything further you may find to add to a page of remembrance to your relative - once a page is up you maybe suprised by receiving other enquiries from others who knew him/her.

Two forms to send off - both are attached to download.

Eligibility - notes attached.
