I am not entitled to a medal - can I still apply for one?

Solution

You may not be entitled to one for many rerasons. For example you are not the next of kin, but you are perhaps the only living person who wants to remember this lost person. You can apply and purchase the medal/s he/she had been awarded.

From Award Productions for example or Worcestershire Medal Services.
