REASON FOR LOSS:
Taking off at 1415 hrs with 11 others to escort Bostons who were raving Boulogne, France.
Lat seen about 10-15 miles off Berck-sur-Mer when they were jumped by about 25 enemy fighters. BM182 had fallen behind and it is assumed he was shot down. His body was not knowingly recovered.
Two spitfires from 405 squadron were also lost during the same operation, both Canadian pilots were killed. Further information can be found here.

F/O. Edgar Mostyn Innes-Jones. Runnymede Memorial. Panel 114. Born 21st November 1911 in Johannesburg, South Africa. A self employed accountant prior to enlisting on the 12th March 1940. Son of Mostyn Humphrey and Mabel Innes-Jones (née Studholme) of Te Kuiti, North Island, brother of Mrs Rosalind Mostyn Barker, Mangapehi of North Island. 971 flying hours logged. 22 operational sorties
