Pilot: Sgt. Allan Irving Gate NZ/403544 RNZAF Age 22. Killed
REASON FOR LOSS:
Taking off on local flying practice at about 20:35 hrs.
The pilot climbed to 1.000 ft. before starting a right hand turn during which control was lost and the Hurricane crashed, 4 miles North West of Middle Wallop.
Burial details:
Sgt. Allan Irving Gate. Brookwood Military Cemetery. Grave 2.C.7. Son of Daniel Irving Gate and Clara Emily Gate, of Hamilton, Auckland, New Zealand. A total of 253 flying hours logged
