REASON FOR LOSS:
Taking part in dive bombing military transport in the morning when he was hit by anti-aircraft fire. Crashing and killing the Polish pilot at location shown.
The weather was atrocious this day in the area with a heavy snowstorm.
Burial details:
Fl/Sgt. Józef Hajduk. Steenderen General Cemetery. Grave 2. Born on the 29th April 1922 at Nowe Święciany, Poland (now Lithuania). No further details - are you able to assist?
