Does your site kill battery life on mobile devices, iPads, iPhones, smartphones, tablets?

Solution

Our site is rich in data content, and reasonably powerful in terms of what the user can do with it. However, this is not at the expense of battery life.

There are several reasons for this, the first being all our code is hand written by code artists, We do not use 'build a site in a day' solutions-in-a-box because, in our experience these produce very verbose code, all of which has to be processed on your device, sucking away at your battery, even though 80% of the code is never actually used to deliver anything to the user. You get what you pay for: our approach is to fine tune our code, wasting nothing.

Another reason is that we off-load the heavy lifting to our servers, not your device. Our system design does not require your device to spend its precious battery power performing complex tasks that are better handled at our servers. We've got this flexibility because we designed and built our entire system ourselves, We're not at all stuck within confines and compromises set by every boxed solutions provider.

The third reason is we don't use that voracious consumer of power - Flash from Adobe - for anything. We use the modern ultra frugal HTML5 technology to deliver video for example.
