REASON FOR LOSS:

Taking off at 22:00 hrs. on a Serrate (radar supported) patrol of the Olligmes / Lens / Paris area.

A very weak transmission was received by RAF Coltishall at 02:20 hrs. 'We are OK now', but too faint to establish a fix. Nothing further was heard and the aircraft came down at Kruishaar, south east of Nijkerk, Netherlands.

Son of William Kinchin and Emily Kate Middleton. Husband of 'Joy' Cecile Joyce Kincin (née Foweraker - married 20th June 1942), of Kings Norton, Birmingham, England.

Fl/Lt. Douglas Sellors. Amersfoort General Cemetery (Oud Leusden). Plot 13. Row 9. Grave 184. Son of George Frederick (died 03rd September 1942) and Nellie Sellors (died 03rd February 1964), of Royal Oak, Lancashire. England. Epitaph: 'A Heartache, A Tear, A Memory So Dear. Every Day Of My Life I Wish You Were Here'.
