REASON FOR LOSS:
Carrying out night training he returned to the base during a snow storm, he was told to circle the airfield whilst ground crews try to move an American bomber that had suffered from a puncture and was blocking the runway.
Sadly whilst in a holding pattern the aircraft ran out of fuel and crashed two miles from the base.
