Evacuated to England, he flies in 302 Sqd during the Battle of Britain. During fight on August 20, 1940 with Ju88 bombers he shot down one plane for sure and the other probably. However, his Hurricane was shot in battle, crashing to a forced landing. The pilot was so seriously injured that after leaving the hospital he could not fly operationally. He shot down four planes. After the war, he emigrated to Canada. In 1990 he returned to Poland. He died in Katowice. He was buried in the military cemetery in Rakowice-Kraków.
